Sonia Kneepkens moved to London in 2012 from the Netherlands. Since then she has been working as a designer and researcher doing co-design projects for social impact. Sonia became an associate of Innovation Unit, a not-for-profit organisation that develops solutions for complex social challenges, after she worked there as a Senior Service Designer and Project lead for several years. Sonia is currently working independently.
Sonia finished her BA in Design & Wellbeing at Design Academy Eindhoven and then graduated with distinction from the MA Narrative Environments at Central Saint Martins, University of the Arts, with a project about a personal and holistic approach to health care.
Her approach revolves around listening, storytelling, imagination and co-creation. Her aim is to empower people to change their world and society around them.
